Ordinariates are us

The Church as just ordained men to the diaconate, who, two weeks ago, were protestant bishops.

With God's grace, the ordinariate will be successful; so let us pray for it!

Ad multos annos to our new clergy

I like the picture! Who's ordaining / being ordained?

I wish I knew who the ordaining bishop was; it feels wrong to text and ask!

And the only other person who I think would know has gone to bed! It's a shame that the diaconate ordination hasn't been publicised in any way.

In fact, for the next ordination, in a month at Fast Buck Abbey, the diaconate ordination has been described as a 'private ceremony' - not a very Catholic understanding of ordination to Holy Order!

These guys are now members of the clergy.

I presume that the Ordinariate has been erected by Papal decree already, just that it has not been made public. This would be my guess, and that +Alan was the ordaining bishop, who could have received the obedience of the ordinands as the ordinary, perhaps? Otherwise, I assume that they are incardinated into the diocese of Westminster for the time being.

Anyway, it's good that the hierarchy have let the People of God know what has gone on. How little does the Church change...
